Political signs, a half-dressed woman and a home health aide fired

Bam and Run
A driver traveling south on Nelson Road Nov. 4 said a driver making a left hand turn onto Sprague Road traveling east on Nelson failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, striking the first driver’s car. The struck driver said the other driver got out of their car, surveyed the damage, and then hopped back into their car and fled east bound on Sprague Road.
Identity theft reported
A caller on Fox Meadow Road Nov. 4 reported someone had used his identity attempting to secure a loan. He discovered this when he went to apply for a loan of his own. He said he had no knowledge of the first loan application and certainly hadn’t authorized it. He said the situation was under control and he was not out any money.
And the deer just walked off
A caller Nov. 4 reported striking a deer with her car on Heathcote Road. She said the deer walked off. Police saw deer-fur on her bumper and searched the area for the injured animal without result.
Oh my deer Despite being hit by a car, a deer walked away.
Language barrier
A caller Nov. 4 reported he’d gotten into an accident with a woman driver at Post Road and Popham Road. He said he was in front of the fire station but couldn’t talk to her due to a language barrier. No injuries were reported. Police arrived with a Spanish-speaking officer to facilitate an information exchange.
Just trying to help
A concerned citizen Nov. 4 reported a woman they believed in need of assistance. The caller said the woman was carrying multiple bags and had a small suitcase. Police responding spoke with the woman who said she was just collecting her things after her bag broke. Although it was rather late in the evening, she declined their offer to help.
Undressed woman assisted
A possibly homeless woman was reported Nov. 5 changing clothes on the crosswalk bridge on East Parkway. Police arrived and saw a woman minimally dressed. An ambulance was called so medics could assess the situation. The MTA police took over at this time.
Aggressive behavior
An aggressive woman was reported Nov. 5 bothering voters on Palmer Avenue. Police say she was 100 feet away from where electioneering is permitted and no further action was taken.
Political signs
Political signs were reported on school property Nov. 5. Police told the party responsible for posting the signs they had to move them. About an hour later, two women were reported holding political signs on school property within the 100’ perimeter. Police told them to remove their signs and watched them leave.
C’mon, don’t do that
A caller Nov. 5 on Valley Road reported someone possibly masturbating. They said the person was wearing an orange hat. Police were unable to locate him.
Injured goose
A caller Nov. 5 reported an injured goose on Tisdale Road. Police arrived and saw the goose appeared to have a stick stuck to its foot. The bird flew away when the officer got close and didn’t appear to be injured.
More politics
Multiple women were reported Nov. 5 on Huntington Avenue holding “Vote Yes Prop 1” signs very close to the polling area. Police saw they were beyond the perimeter and not interfering with voters. A poll worker clarified to police they were outside the 100’ limit.
Sleeping Beauty?
A woman was reported to be asleep standing up Nov. 5 inside a store on Scarsdale Avenue. The reporting party said she was taking a long time to pay for her purchases. She declined medical attention when approached. Police remained on scene until she completed her shopping and left the premises.
You’re fired!
A Mamaroneck Road resident Nov. 6 told police he fired his home health aide but she wouldn’t leave. He said he had no particular reason for firing her; they just didn’t get along. Police spoke to the man, his son, the aide and her employment agency who told her to leave and a new aide would arrive within a few hours. No further police intervention was required.
Wandering woman refuses medical attention
Police received a call from the Scarsdale fire department Nov. 7 around 3 a.m. about a woman wandering around the parking lot at the Village Hall. Police responding spoke with her; she seemed confused and said she was trying to get to a friend’s house. An ambulance was called for but she refused medical treatment. Police gave her a ride to her last known address.
Sleeping man gone on police arrival
A man was reported sleeping on a bench Nov. 7 in front of the post office at Chase Road and Christie Place. Police looked for him but he was gone on their arrival.
Ok, Deer, what’s your address?
County fire control called the police Nov. 7 claiming a deer struck one of their trucks at Weaver Street and Griffen Avenue. The report said “Parties on scene assisted with information exchange.”
Keep it leashed
An unleashed dog was reported Nov. 7 being walked by a woman wearing a gray beanie on Brewster Road. The dog was described as 'large', the woman described as 'dark'. Police looked for them without result.
Alleged toilet paper thief fired
A caller on Garth Road Nov. 7 reported an employee he believes is stealing items from their store. Although the complainant has no video surveillance or any witnesses, he believes the employee is stealing rolls of toilet paper. He said he is firing the employee. The employee was not on scene while police were being given this information and no further action was necessary.
On a roll Someone from a store on Garth Road claimed an employee was stealing toilet paper.
Communication is key
A caller in the early morning hours of Nov. 9 reported his daughter took his car from his residence on Morris Lane. He later stated she drove to her mother’s house and that was ok.
Youths on the roof
A caller on Wilmot Road Nov. 9 said he saw a few kids climbing on his roof. He saw them on security cameras. He checked the premises and saw nothing damaged or missing. He told police he was making modifications to the structure to avoid more climbing incidents.
Found car keys
Car keys found on Rock Creek Lane Nov. 9 were turned into the police for safe keeping.
Brush fire
A small brush fire was reported Nov. 9 along the footpath to Lincoln Road opposite the school on Palmer Avenue and Graham Road. The fire department was on scene to put out the fire.
Argued with Uber driver
A caller Nov. 9 reported a verbal dispute with an Uber driver at Post Road and Edgewood Road. Police spoke with both parties. The complainant said the operator was driving erratically and requested to let out. The driver stopped the car, yelled at the customer, and then drove off. Police looked for the Uber without result.

Not missing after all
A teen male was reported missing Nov. 10 by his father from their home on Rural Drive. The dad said the last time he’d spoken with his son was the night before. Later the dad said his son fell asleep at a friend’s house and all was well.
Unexpected ladder
A caller on Claremont Road Nov. 10 reported an unexpected ladder propped up to reach second floor windows of his residence. Police observed no construction or painting work was being done at the home at this time. The homeowner later remembered he’d recently had a contractor doing work at his home who must have forgotten their ladder. Police helped the homeowner remove the ladder as a precaution to any future possible criminal activity.
