He responded to a casting call from an outfit calling itself “Licid Pictures” and for reasons poorly explained, accepted a check from them for $4500. He deposited the check and then sent $4000 back to the so-called production company; he was told his check bounced; there was some back and forth. Long story short, he was scammed out of a lot of money. The caller said she was in touch with their bank and a report was made for documentation.

Concerning texts

A caller on Penn Boulevard Sept. 18 said he would like to speak with an officer about distressing texts he was receiving. He said an unknown party was demanding money or violence would be inflicted on his family members. Police determined the calls were coming from the Dominican Republic. He was advised to block the number and a report was made for documentation.

How did it get there?
