HITS THE SPOT The Greenburgh Nature Center is holding a target archery tournament today. Even if you’ve never shot a bow and arrow before, you’ll have fun: The day starts with instruction and warm up rounds, and every archer is guaranteed at least three competitive rounds during the competition. PICK A SIDE Gather with others at Smith Field at Mercy college for a two-hour walking tour to Revolutionary Walk in Hastings and back. Along the way, you’ll learn how families and neighbors in Westchester County were divided by the Revolutionary War. In keeping with the theme of America’s fight for independence, this experience is free! OH MY GOURD If you didn’t buy your Halloween pumpkin yet, it’s time to visit Muscoot Farm for its Pumpkin Picking Weekend. IN SEINE! Head to the Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary in Rye for its last seining session of the fall. SKY PATROL Take a seat at the Hudson River Museum’s planetarium to learn about what you can see in the sky this month, including planets, extra-bright stars, and meteor showers. In this hourlong, interactive show, you’ll also see Orionids, meteors which are caused by the Earth intercepting debris that Halley’s comet left behind.
