Daiso to close

The popular Japanese chain will shutter its outpost on Central Avenue.

Say it ain’t so, Daiso  The store, known for its cute and practical merchandise, will close its doors during the holiday season.

Since the fall of 2019, Daiso has brightened up Central Avenue with its selection of sweetly styled but practical housewares, knick-knacks, and more. A fun place to browse, it was a must-stop for fans of goods with Asian-inspired flair. But as of December 7th, shoppers will have to look elsewhere for a lineup similar to that of the family-owned, 50-year-old chain as the store will cease operations then.
