VINTAGE CHIC   The Westchester Wine Walk is on Saturday in Rye. 

FRI. SEPT. 20

TODDLERS BLOCK OUT Mosey over to the Larchmont Public Library with your little one (age 0 to 3) for Block & Roll, an unstructured playtime with blocks, balls, and stacking toys. KILLING YOU SOFTLY WITH THEIR SONG Usher in the spooky season by going to see Murder Ballads, staged readings of little-known stories (some dating to the 17th century!) paired with classic songs of jealousy, desire, and stone-cold revenge. 8 p.m. Fri., 2 p.m. & 8 p.m. Sat., 3 p.m. Sun.; Westchester Collaborative Theater, 23 Water St., Ossining; $20 plus fees buy tickets here.

THE SOUNDS OF MUSIC Concerts in the Park/Broadway on the Sound brings a bit ‘o Broadway to our area. Produced and hosted by a casting director, it features Broadway performers who’ll light up the stage with musical numbers based on children’s stories and animated films. Expect to hear selections from Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Frozen, and more. Grab a bite from the food trucks at the event. 7:00 p.m.; Lanza Field, Harbor Island Park, Mamaroneck; free admission and parking after 4:30 p.m., no reservations required.

SAT. SEPT. 21

FALL FAMILY FOREST FESTIVAL AT MARSH SANCTUARY This annual event, put on by The Rewilding School, is a day of community: Take bird walks, enjoy crafting activities, and play forest games. Arrive early since parking is limited. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; Marsh Sanctuary, B Rd., Mt. Kisco; $5 per family in advance; $15 per family onsite; buy tickets here.

TAKE A WALK ON THE WINE SIDE Picturesque Rye Town Park is hosting a day of socializing and sipping. Set against waterfront views, more than 50 vineyards will showcase more than 100 wines. You’ll also find more than 75 vendors selling handicrafts, plus food trucks, live music, and more. 2 p.m.-6 p.m.; The Barley Beach House, 95 Dearborn Ave., Rye; $55 plus fees, designated driver tickets $40 plus fees, buy tickets here.

HOW’S ABOUT SOME HOT STUFF? The Greenburgh Nature Center will screen the movie How to Train Your Dragon this evening. Guests will be seated on the Center’s Great Lawn; bring a blanket or chair and arrive early to grab a great spot. A variety of concessions willl be available. SUN. SEPT. 22

THE FARM TEAM With harvest season upon us, our hometown farmer’s market is a must-see. With luck you’ll still get some beautifully unique heirloom tomatoes, even as bins of prune plums beg to be baked into that never-fail New York Times original plum torte. 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; Spencer Place at Chase Rd., admission is free.

HERE’S TO YOUR HEALTH Running concurrently with the Farmer’s Market will be Scarsdale Village’s Health & Wellness Day. Attendees will learn all about exercise and joint health, healthy eating, cancer prevention, and more. An Artmobile will offer engaging art projects, and adults can get free blood pressure and BMI screenings. Presented by White Plains Hospital. 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; free.

MUSIC, MAN  Jazz on Main's brunch scene has the vibes of a funky urban club.

BRUNCH WITH A BACKBEAT Jazz on Main in Katonah will host a very special performer at its Sunday brunch: Westchester native Suzahn Fiering, who is a guitarist, vocalist and composer. You’ll hear a range of upbeat songs, including standards from the Great American Song Book and arrangements of Beatles tunes. Noon; 37 S. Your little ones are going to love this event at The Leffell School.

Do you believe in magic?   Noah Levine astonishes audiences.

ABRA CADABRA this event will reach out and grab ya. Magician Noah Levine (Magic After Hours, Speakeasy Magick, The Magic Castle) will lead audience members through an astounding evening. Inside the atmospheric Hudson Valley Writers Center, he’ll intersperse stories of spooky coincidences with sleight-of-hand. Please bring a set of keys for…um…probably magic. Suggested age 12 and up.
