PINT-SIZED PERFORMERS Broadway? Feh. Head to the White Plains Performing Arts Center for Alice in Wonderland Jr. Featuring youth actors, this hourlong adaptation of the Disney film and Lewis Carroll stories makes for a family-friendly evening. 7:30 p.m.; 11 City Pl., 3rd Floor (City Center), White Plains; $21; purchase tickets here.

GUITAR HERO For the finale of Scarsdale Public Library’s Summer Concert Series, Robert the Guitar Guy will have kids rock out to their favorite songs. For families with kids ages 2+. 10:30-11:00 a.m.; 54 Olmsted Rd.,; admission is free. If the concert has to move indoors due to weather, the first 50 children will be admitted.

An eye-opener  Teens can spend an afternoon writing a suspenseful mystery.

SLEUTHS FOR YOUTHS The Hudson Valley Writers Center is hosting a Teen Murder Mystery Madness Creative Writing Workshop. For two interactive hours, teen participants will use their problem-solving skills and creativity to compose a truly irresistible mystery. Like, you know, who keeps leaving their clothes on their bedroom floor? 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.; 300 Riverside Dr., Sleepy Hollow; Price ranges from free to $75.00, depending on what you’re able to pay. JUST WING IT Watch a free outdoor flick courtesy of White Plains Hospital’s Screenings Under the Stars at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle. Migration, rated PG, is the animated tale of ambitious mallards. Can they fly to Jamaica? Watch and find out, mon. Pre-movie entertainment features bubble magic and a ninja warrior-inspired obstacle course. Bring blankets, folding chairs, and a picnic. Movie begins at sundown; Weyman Ave., New Rochelle; free parking and admission. Rain or shine, but may be canceled for truly inclement weather.

THE PRODUCERS It’s freakin’ awesome to have a farmer’s market right in the Village. Last weekend, there were exotic mushrooms, Empress plums (first of the season!), rice grown right in NY State (it’s amazing), plus Rosa Bianca eggplants and more. DOG DAYS OF SUMMER Walter’s Hot Dogs is turning 105! Visit their iconic Chinese pagoda food stand in Mamaroneck and join in the anniversary celebration. Sunday is Family Fun Day: Enjoy music, face painting, a photo booth, kids’ table, raffle baskets and more. Noon-3 p.m.; 937 Palmer Ave., Mamaroneck; free admission.

MUSLIM APPRECIATION As part of its Cultural Heritage Celebrations 2024 series, Westchester County Parks is hosting a Muslim Heritage Festival at the Kensico Dam Plaza. BYO seating; no coolers allowed. If past versions of this event are any guide, you can expect music, food, a marketplace, and more. Noon-6 p.m.; 1 Bronx River Pkwy.; free admission.

COOL FOR THE SUMMER As if you need an excuse to visit the Captain Lawrence Brewery, their Summer 2024 end-of-season show will feature rock musicians of all ages playing pop, garage-band music, and more in the scenic Beer Garden. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Elmsford NY.  444 Saw Mill River Rd., Elmsford; free admission.

SIGN UP NOW! The 2024 Greenburgh Diaper Dash, a camera-ready race for tots age 2 and under, will be hosted by Greenburgh Parks & Recreation on Sunday, Sept. 1st. Registration is now open to nonresidents as well as residents, but closes on August 30th at 2 p.m., so keep yourself and your kid on track by signing up here ASAP. 10 a.m. check-in; first heat starts around 10:30 a.m.; A.F.
